Rickenbacker 450-12 March 1966 Mapleglo

I bought this guitar in hopes of restoring it--adding pickups and knobs, stringing it up, buying an OHSC, all of it. But I never got around to it, and I don't think I will. This would make for an AWESOME project. All the original-era parts are easily available, and you'd end up with a sweet little '60s 12 string guitar.

Purchased from the guitar's only owner. I bought it several years ago, so I don't remember why he removed the pickups and knobs--I think he had put them on another guitar, but I'm not sure.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cosmetic Condition: 100% original with a super cool vintage vibe! This gorgeous little guitar is in good condition overall - various minor surface scratches & light finish wear. The mapleglo finish has aged into a beautiful golden color with a very nice patina. Beautiful knots and swirls in the wood on the back.

Neck: Slender maple neck with thick rosewood fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets appear to be in great shape with very little wear & plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition-could use some cleaning though. Double truss are both working. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well - very comfortable. One screw missing from Rickenbacker nameplate.

Body: Neck-thru design with solid maple wings. Original tailpiece and bridge. Single-ply white pickguard. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 12.5 oz. Small ding on one horn that previous owner obviously attempted (poorly) to repair. This can be easily removed and fixed correctly. Also appears to be some glue flash where the neck meets the body-- not sure why. See pictures.
