NECK
(presenting in fair condition, wear due to professional use and age-
no structural defects, evidence of finish touchup around the treble side of heel)
- Fender decal displays 'with synchronized tremolo' watermark. No evidence of replacement (outline or tooling of removal)
- A left-handed hardtail Stratocaster built in 1959 would have been very low volume production or commissioned.
Due to this relative low production the guitar displaying 'with synchronized tremolo' on the headstock despite being a hardtail, does not put into originality- declaring the neck original.

- Back of neck/ heel displays a penciled signature or batch number. No stamping on heel.

Replacing with NOS tuners (Fender branded in Nickel-specification and
measurement maintained) is suggested.

Present Frets measuring crown at (WxH .105 x -.025) Fretwork to achieve original specification is suggested. Note: 'commonly referred to as slab board'

- Neck Profile matches that of other 1950s Stratocasters (nut width 41.6mm, fret 1 profile depth at 18.8mm) 7 1/4 radius present, fingerboard has been previously sanded and radius lightly compounded.
BODY
(Presenting heavy 'play wear' from use, no structural damage or evidence of repairs/ modifications)
- Single ply white pickguard (8 screw holes, no evidence of position movement or dowel fill) early 1959 spec-original
-Original Nitrocellulose Finish, original Sunburst 3-tone - no evidence of re-finish or tamper
-Original hardtail tailpiece construction, no routing for tremolo or modification. Present with thru-body holes for string loading.
- Pencil marking displayed in heel route for neck, similar to marking on heel of neck.
- Pencil marking in pickup route / underneath pickguard- No. 459, Lettered 'LH'
WIRING
- Original cloth wiring harness, 1 splice on the PU leads.
- Original Neck and Bridge pickup
- Replaced middle pickup, and reason to the splice in the wiring. No identifying marks to date.
