Unbranded Single Cut Guitar Mid-2010s - Natural Maple Top / Ebony Back

Up for sale is an LP-style single cut guitar with a natural finish top. The guitar is in good functional condition. It has a mahogany body with a highly flamed and active maple veneer, a set mahogany neck and a rosewood fretboard. The back, sides and neck are a glossy ebony finish (polyurethane). The guitar has a gold roller bridge, a gold tailpiece and gold locking tuners with kidney-style buttons and gold speed knobs. There is a 'custom' emblem waterslide decal on the headstock.

The guitar was purchased by the seller in 2019.

There are three humbuckers (the body has been routed for a middle humbucker; a 'goof' is hidden behind the pickup mounting ring (the middle pickup ring is not 100% perfectly matched with the other two as it came from a different, but similar, set - all detailed in the pictures), two volume controls, two tone controls and a three-way toggle switch. The three positions are bridge (bridge pickup, Alnico V, high output), neck (neck (Alnico V) and middle pickup (Alnico II with the magnet reversed) and middle (all three pickups). The guitar has an Epiphone toggle switch and Epiphone wiring harness (alpha pots); the neck volume pot has been replaced with a full CTS pot.

It has a self-constructed two-piece (large) basswood jack plate (detailed in pictures). The roller bridge is mounted on ABR-1 posts; this has been converted via custom-made dowels to fit the routs for a metric bushing with the bridge posts drilled into the center. They have been leveled/sanded, glued, filled and finished over with nitrocellulose (but are covered to the eye by the thumbwheels; detailed in the pictures).

The action is very low and can be raised easily with the included wrenches. The frets have been leveled and crowned, and the nut has been filed.

The seller has leveled and crowned the frets to achieve the lowest action possible without any fret buzzing, allowing the buyer to raise the action to their playing comfort.

There are some imperfections in the finish (dings and finish imperfections - all detailed in the pictures). Outdoor and indoor pictures have been taken in varying light conditions, many of the closeups were done under fluorescent light and may make the guitar, at times, appear a bit more amber in some photos (be aware, the flamed top appears to be a natural maple hue); a few of the outdoor shots make the guitar appear more washed out than it is.

Dozens of pictures have been taken of the overall condition of the instrument in addition to the imperfections. There may be more that may not have been labelled, feel free to zoom in. The buyer should also view the linked video that documents the condition of the instrument in addition to zooming into the imperfections. The buyer must take great care to look at these pictures/videos close up and take note before buying as all sales are final. This is not a collector's instrument but a well-used 'player's-grade' instrument.

The guitar for sale is not perfect cosmetically, but plays very well, has the expected tone and a unique finish and is offered in AS-IS condition. Will ship in an included basic hard shell case (with some expected scuffs and imperfections - detailed in pictures).
