1985 Kramer Baretta Maple R5 Neck

Full disclosure, this is a parts guitar. This body did originally come with a painted matched maple headstock however it was broken and in extremely poor shape (broken headstock, truss rod, crack down the fretboard). It’s since been replaced with a playable non broken maple neck but with a black painted headstock. My idea was to restore this entire guitar and match the headstock but it’s been sitting as you see it now for a solid 5 years.

Neck shows original black painted matched maple and logo but has a decent portion of it touched up at some time, also has a brown stain around the headstock as touch up to what would have been factory. No breaks, just some touch up. Frets still in great shape, aluminum side dots.

Body has some imperfections, most notably around the horns. On the front, each horn has a little wear spot down to wood. Not sure why it was done, but they’re there. Backside, someone tried the EVH million hole for the strap button trick and a few screws broke in the body. Again, why this was done well never know. Neck pocket was shaved slightly to allow better reach into the higher frets. This mod I understand unlike the others however not my cup of tea.
