Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 (2006, non-VTS)

My wife and I just received our first born 3 weeks ago and so unfortunately I'm selling this one to make some room in our finances.

I've owned and played different D-18s before (standard, D-18V, modern deluxe, etc) and when I first laid hands on this i felt like I'd been lied to all my life. Somehow this is a D-18 but plays so unlike another D-18 money can buy. Very dynamic and punchy and doesnt break up when you lean into it.

Bought this in 2022 and have played it heavily on my worship team. It's a work horse and is in perfect functional condition and very good cosmetic condition with the below callous

CONDITION & NOTES:

- Please note that I "tanned" this guitar back around new year 2024 which caused lacquer checking and a subtle dark spot on the belly of the guitar from one of the lamps - both of which are cosmetic, not functional changes (I've too much respect for guitar owners to try and sell a "lemon" to anyone - no way). Laquer checking is honestly hard to see at a glance unless you look at it at a sharp angle (see pics). Check out the umgf link below to see exhaustive detail of the process I shared back when I did it. Personally I loved the result as it added to the vintage look and aura given that this is built after golden age guitars.

- Custom aged closed back tuners also add to the vintage aura.

- stainless steel frets show wear especially on B and high E strings but still playable. Frets were installed in late 2022 so theyre new enough to do a shine a polish.

- only a handful of light scuffs as expected from a played 20 year old guitar.

- small scratch on back chipped off a tiny piece of lacquer down to top of bare wood.

- K&K mini installed and functions great.
