Snake Oil pedals are the result of a collaboration between Rob Chapman (Chapman Guitars) and Zach Broyles (Mythos Pedals). With its steampunk aesthetic and playful Victorian Americana branding, the Marvellous Engine is a distortion pedal that can give the sound of higher-gain, class British amps through a clean amp, as well as pushing an already-driven amp.
It offers a broader response range and more control over the tone and saturation than most other distortion pedals. In addition to the usual Volume, Tone and Gain controls, Voice controls a second clipping stage, giving the distortion more presence as well as gain.
The pedal has never been gigged and comes with its original box and contents.
