Alembic Skylark 2002 Amberburst Flame Maple W/OHSC

This 2002 Alembic Skylark is in excellent condition.

It has hardly been played in its 23 years of life. The previous owner is an avid player of archtop and classical guitars, and this guitar did not make it into his regular rotation, instead staying in storage for many years.

It is a 24.75 inch scale model with an ebony fretboard on a 3-piece maple neck with 2 walnut pinstripes. It has a brass nut and Gotoh tuners. The bridge offers an extra wide adjustment of intonation.

The finish is in excellent condition, but some areas, such as the headstock and fretboard might benefit from a cut and polish to bring out the original shine. The body has maintained a high gloss. Compared to photos on the Alembic website, the finish has darkened to a much deeper amber color than a brand new amberburst guitar.

It is all original except for two of the solid brass knobs have been replaced with abalone topped brass knobs. Some of the photos were taken prior to the purchase of the replacement knobs and show one knob missing. It has since been replaced.

It spent several years equipped with a passive pickup setup. I recently returned it to the stock active humbucker pickups and original Alembic wiring.

The controls are volume, filter, off/on/bright for each pickup.

It comes with the original hard shell case, molded specifically to this guitar. The case is in good structural condition, but does have some cosmetic defects, such as glue reside and some wear and tear. It also features a few stickers.
