For sale: a killer 2012 Fender American Vintage ‘72 Telecaster Custom Reissue in good condition and perfect working order. Freshly set up with 10–46 gauge strings, this guitar plays beautifully with a straight neck, low action, and spot-on intonation. And the original wide range humbucker and tele bridge pickups sound exceptional—rich, punchy, and full of character.

Cosmetically, this is a true player’s guitar, with plenty of honest wear in all the right places. Like most well-loved instruments, it shows typical signs of use: dings, chips, scratches, swirl marks and some light finish checking which is mostly limited to the back of the neck. The original frets look great still only showing minimal wear on frets 1-9 mostly under the plain strings. Be sure to check out the photos for a closer look—and please excuse any reflections.

To the best of our knowledge, this axe is all original save for the strap buttons, bridge saddles and control cavity/pickup route shielding.

All in all, this is a killer example of a ‘72 reissue that’s been played—and loved—because it sounds and feels so damn good. What’s the old cliché? The good ones get played.
