Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer on consignment this ridiculously cool Ibanez Jem Steve Vai Signature model from 1998 in "Floral Print" made in Japan.

Serial #F98 45491 (Rear of Headstock)

NOTE: This is a second owner guitar and was signed by Steve Vai at a guitar clinic here in Perth back in the mid-2000s. While I don't have provinence, I do know the original owner who has a photo of himself with the guitar after having it signed at the clinic. Rest assured, it is definitely Steve Vai's hand written signature.

Weighing in at 3.45kg (7.60lbs) with a solid Basswood body featuring the signature monkey grip handle and lion's claw tremolo cavity, Maple neck with thin "C" shape profile, Rosewood fingerboard, 24 Jumbo frets with the last 4 being scalloped, and Glow-in-the-dark Green Vine inlay.

Featuring its original set of unbelievably great sounding DiMarzio pickups consisting of 2 PAF Pro Humbuckers and a JEM single coil. As you can see, the fluoro pink has faded from use over the years. This was a much loved guitar.

Middle: 5.33k

Bridge: 8.54k

Controls include a 5-way Blade switch, 1 master volume and 1 master tone. This is an extreamly versatile guitar.

All Cosmo Black hardware featuring the renowned Ibanez double-locking trem and made in Japan tuners.

Original clear pickguard, Fluoro control knobs and back plates, and a replacement black switch tip.

Comes with its original Ibanez Hardshell Case, original Trem Arm, Dimarzio Cliplock Strap and original Pink Switch Tip (cracked)

Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with D'Addario 9.42 strings, frets cleaned and polished, fretboard cleaned and lightly oiled, intonation and action set, truss rod tested and works as it should, electronics tested and working perfectly, all hardware cleaned and secured.

Frets are in Excellent condition so playability is superb!

Overall condition is Good but with playwear throughout, there is a noticeable knock at the lower front towards the tone knob, some minor dings, some light oxidisation on the Hardware, Tuners and Trem Arm, and as you can see, the Fluoro Pink colour has faded from the pickups. (See Photos)
