LINDERT SKYLINER 1998 ***SUPER RARE*** w/HSC

LINDERT SKYLINER in very rare Green / Cream Sparkle c1998

Made in the U.S.A. by the late lamented Charles Lindert somewhere in the mid-late 90s.

There's a handwritten sticker on the neck plate dated 1998. This is about as close as it gets to a date/serial on a Lindert.

Lindert offered multiple pickup configurations with most models. This one has the dual humbucker variation which pumps out some seriously muscular tone.

Condition-wise...

All original and it's had very little use.

Only things worth noting are a small scrape on the back of the neck towards the body join, plus the inevitable hairline cracks to the body edges. This is due to the unique Lindert crackle finish. It's purely cosmetic. Indeed, it's hard to find a Lindert without them.

Beyond this, condition is extremely good all round.

Electrics and tuners are faultless, neck is gorgeous and the fret wear negligible.

This guitar plays beautifully with brand new strings and a fast low action. Despite its eccentric appearance, this guitar is menacingly powerful.

Overall...

These very high quality build guitars. Pretty much entirely hand-built in fact since Charles Lindert's attention to detail bordered on the obsessional.

A rare, eccentrically beautiful and highly collectable U.S. made guitar from one of the most original creators of the 20th century.

Comes with a decent hard case.
