2016 Kz One Standard Left-Handed Black Top By Kz Guitar Works Japan Initially Produced Brian May’s Red Special 2007-2010

I am very happy to accommodate any interested customers to come and try this guitar at my studio. By appointment only! Please message me to arrange one. Thanks.

I have discovered these guitars at NAMM Show 2016. I was so impressed that I agreed to become a London dealer. With a 25” scale and 58-59 style rounded neck this guitar plays like a dream. The sustain is just incredible. It gave me the impression that I was playing a lapsteel. It sounds like a Les Paul meets a Strat. Great jazz tones, great rock tones, great any tone you would like to get.

Kahler system is probably the smoothest and the most stable tremolo I have ever tried. No wonder why Guild fitted them on the early Red Specials.

This is the first left-handed guitar that KZ made. You’re welcome to try it and buy this one or order your KZ One with your own specs!

Kz Guitar Works is a guitar workshop and manufacture located in Zushi-shi, Kanagawa, Japan. From 2007-2010, they produced the official signature model of Brian May: Red Special Super.

As their next step, the company started producing their own original guitar, Kz One Standard inspired by the famous Red Special. With newly designed features and completely hand-made from start to end by top craftsmen at Kz Guitar Works, their aim is to set new standards in the industry of electric guitars.

An official Kz Guitar Works logo is attached to the head of the guitar.

The headstock is designed to minimise nut friction while keeping the tuning stable by incorporating a 10-degree angle to keep the strings straight from the nut to the tuning heads.

The neck is set-in and made out of one-piece Honduras Mahogany. The medium fat size provides stability and prevents warping while achieving great medium and low tones unlike many other semi-hollow guitars. Two-way truss rod can be used to change the relief of the neck.

22-fret Madagascar Rosewood with 635mm (25in) scale. Nut width 43mm, fretboard end 57mm. The carefully crafted round-edge and 12 inch radius fretboard makes playing easy and comfortable.

Gotoh locking tuning heads, designed for precise tuning and simple string replacement.

TUSQ XL nut provides tuning stability and rich sound.

The body is semi-hollow and composed of Honduras Mahogany body. The semi-hollow body construction helps produce a guitar with a large, fat and resonant sound. Due to its size the body provides excellent balance.

JESCAR medium size frets, with 12-inch radius it offers the player precise pitch, smooth and easy string bending.

Ultra-thin polyurethane finish, which requires skill and craftsmanship of the highest standards. The finish provides longevity without sacrificing the guitar’s natural sound.

British made ADESON hand-wound 60’s Vintage Style TRISONICS pickups. All 3 are wired in series to provide fatter tones with at least 2 of them engaged. These pickups are low-noise as they are double wax-potted.

Master Volume, Master Tone, 3 one-off switches. The two knobs also act as phase switches for the neck and middle pickups. This feature adds extra sounds when at least 2 pickups are engaged. If you want to hear the sound of 2 or 3 pickups “fighting” against each other, Ricky or Gretsch tones – pull the Volume or Tone knobs or both.

Modified Kahler 2315 tremolo unit. Kz One Standard does not use locking nuts, therefore the fine tuners have been removed, making it easier to play and maintain. Despite this, the modified Kahler still has all the features unique to the standard model: smooth, stable and easy usage.
