David Garibaldi's Tower of Power, Vintage DW First Model, 5000 Series Bass Drum Pedal 1970's (DG DW #8)
David Garibaldi has retired from Tower of Power! David's innovative grooves propelled the band and helped define their unique funky sound. After an amazing 55 year run, he's putting away his Tower of Power sticks.
From David Garibaldi’s personal cymbal collection at Donn Bennett’s Drum Vault in Seattle, WA.
This late 1970s DW 5000, bass drum pedal was part of David's collection of drum gear dating back to the heyday of Tower of Power's career.
David played this pedal for all it's worth. He pushed this pedal almost as far as it could go. The chain is about to snap right where it attaches to the front of the footboard. Keep this pedal "as is" as a great piece of David Garibaldi's well worn Tower of Power history, or replace the chain and you've got a great feeling early DW pedal with vibe galore. Either way it's a great piece to add to any drummer's collection.
The DW 5000 Series Bass Drum Pedal, often called the "first model" has roots stretching back to the late 1970s, evolving into one of the most iconic pedals in drumming history.
Includes a COA signed by David Garibaldi.
