Aria SB-RSZ "Rudy Sarzo" 1990's - Padauk Stain

A beautiful Aria neck through "Rudy Sarzo" model, the SB-RSZ, the metal bassist's lightly modified SB Elite signature model. Not only did Rudy play bass with most of the Titans of Metal, he was also known to play the part of roadie, bus driver and even hair and makeup, a HUGE responsibility in the 80's metal scene lol This bass plays and functions beautifully, it being a later model the pickups haven't become microphonic and it's silent in all the split coil formats possible with the dual humbuckers. Cool eyeball inlays on the rosewood fingerboard and the finish is one of my favorites, Aria's signature Padauk stain with maple and walnut laminates in the neck. These basses have a very assertive smacky tone that's great for metal or heavy funk, but the bridge pickup can provide all the nasal snarl you need for some jazz. Two volumes, one tone and mini toggles to control the coil split option for each pickup. A really killer bass overall, I actually played a Peavey Sarzo in college and love this one even more. There are two cracks on the back of the neck, which I've provided well lit pics of, but they don't penetrate the top of the headstock or the other neck laminates, it may have been repaired at some point, at any rate it's completely stable and has no effect on playability and is barely noticeable, but important to point out:) UPDATE EDIT: Upon further inspection I'm relatively certain these are just finish cracks, I cleaned them up and you can run a nail across the entire length of the marks without catching.
