MAX Series from Yamaki (late 1970s). Imported from Japan. Very ornate binding/ purfling along the body, neck, and sound hole. Eight mother of pearl fretboard markers. Volute on back of headstock and gold sealed Yamaki branded rotomatic tuners - all very high end features and details!
¥50,000 yen original price in late 1970s in Japan (see pic), and $535 retail in the US in 1979 (see pic).
Vintage hard case included. One flaw is a crack by the sound hole near the neck (see pics).
