NEW! Craviotto "Builder's Choice" snare drums! I asked the team at Craviotto if they would like to do a series of special one-off snares with build specs decided by the team. The answer was an enthusiastic "yes". So, I commissioned several drums. Our team of master builders determines the shell species, depth, hardware, edges, etc, and the end result is some very cool and unique drums. Some of these will be Custom Shop and some will be Private Reserve, so we'll have a variety of price points available.

STEVE’S NOTES: This particular drum is one that I specially commissioned and it is unique. I have used it in my personal studio here at the IL shop, and now want to make it available to someone else to enjoy. Looks great and sounds fabulous.

6.5x14 MAPLE w/ DOUBLE MAPLE INLAY

45 DEGREE EDGES

3 POINT STRAINER

DIAMOND CAST LUGS (CHROME)

TRIPLE FLANGE BRASS COLOR RIMS AND TENSION RODS.

TONE QUALITY: Maple was always Johnny’s favorite wood. It’s perfect for any style of music. Articulation and projection are superb, and there is a nice balance between brightness and warmth with maple. Johnny always felt that maple was the most versatile and best sounding wood.
