As close as I can be to being certain about what Japanese "Brand" this guitar is to say that it has a tail piece and pick guard like a Guyatone and a headstock and general configuration of a Segova and that it has a typical overall look as Teisco territory with the shape of body---but none of those qualities match up precisely with this sweet little guitar.
Everything works very well. Pickups are clean sounding and with a good amp have plenty of bark and bite and they are receptive to tone mods from switches and pots.
The pickups are what throws this guitar into mystery land--- I have never seen any Japanese guitars of the 1960's with these pickups [handsome chrome single coils]..so anyone that has..let me know--what the heck are they?
Neck is straight and it plays well with low action all up and down the neck. The individual roller wheel adjustable bridge is a nice plus and makes setting action easy and highly flexible--it is now set very low for fast playing and easy fretting.
It is 25 1/2 inch scale with 1 9/16" nut. Medium profile.
The frets are very clean and practically ungrooved as well as being well done and with smooth edges,
Body is mahogany as well as the neck with a rosewood fret board.
Comes with a nice "Hybrid" Brand padded gig bag.
Pictures tell more than i can say other thanhow it works....as stated.
