Banana Plugs at an incredible savings. The new "Generation 4" model has
been re-designed to work best with 10 gauge, 12 gauge, 14 gauge, 16
gauge, and 18 gauge wire. The new "Generation 4" plugs use high
quality solid "H59-1 Brass" which is 24K gold-plated. The "Generation
4" wall thickness on the back of the plug has been QUADRUPLED! The
new thickness is 2.0mm. The old version was 0.5mm. The diameter of the
hole on the older version was 9.0mm which worked great for 2 gauge
wire, but who uses 2 gauge wire? The new "Generation 4" hole diameter
has been re-tooled to 6.5mm. This smaller size works MUCH BETTER for 10
gauge, 12 gauge, and 14 gauge wire. The "Generation 4" version also
has longer set screws inside the plug. The longer screws in the
"Generation 4" plug hold the wire in place much better than the old
version.
