This is one stunning looking ukulele! Built very much in the Nunes style (but not by Nunes) it has a solid koa top, back and sides and a very lovely rope binding. Our best estimate is that this instrument was built in the 1920's, possibly by Lyon and Healy. Original, friction style violin tuners; the bridge is a replacement one. Structurally this vintage ukulele is in very good condition; there is one professionally repaired (cleated) crack in on the back as well as a tight, professionally repaired front crack (see pictures). The neck is perfectly straight and this classic uke plays very well. Comes with a vintage gig bag, possibly original.
