LP Udu Drum Hadgini, Excellent Condition, Has some imperfections but they do not affect the playability or fantastic sounds this drum produces. See Photos.
This LP Hadgini is a two surfaced Udu drum based on the original design of famed percussionist Jamey Haddad. The two chambers feature contrasting ranges, and produce a variety of unique tones.
Played easily with a multitude of hand techniques from different cultures, the unique design allows for it to be played while seated. Rounded low chamber has an alto range; triangular chamber has more bright and transparent sounds; similar to a clay tabla.
Each chamber has different textures that allow rubbing sounds to be added to the sound mix.
Extended V-shaped air channel between two chambers is a unique aspect to this udu
The word "Udu" comes from the Nigerian Ibo language and means "pottery". The simple, but solid clay construction is based upon centuries-old African traditions. Udus reveal the close relationship between pottery & musical instruments.
Features: Microphone ports in each chamber - sounds amazing with mics! Mics increase the tonal possibilities and are great for live performances and recording sessions.
