This is an extremely rare and special guitar. It is beautiful and sounds amazing. Martin manufactured just over 500 F-50s between 1961 and 1965. In 1964, 177 were made.
It is a pleasure to play and has a remarkable tone and clarity. For Blues, Jazz, or Rock'n'Roll you couldn't ask for better. Warm, resonant, reedy, creamy, chimey tones. It is a truly amazing instrument. As you can see from the photographs, this guitar is a beauty. The sunburst finsish is gorgeous. The headstock has flaming. The neck is straight. The action is low. The DeArmond pick-up sounds great. This guitar sounds good acoustic! There is some wear, but for it's age, it is in fine shape. Some buckle rash on back, the pick-guard was broken and repaired at some point, a few scratches and dents, but overall just beautiful. Comes with new Epiphone hard case that fits like a glove. 1964 ELECTRIC Martin Archtop for $1,964 dollars.
