Here is a gorgeous Harmony Baritone Ukulele, most likely dating from the mid to late 1950s.  It is in Near Mint condition, with almost no marks of use on it.  Do study the photos carefully and I have tried to capture this Uke from all angles.

This Baritone Ukulele came in to us in completely original condition, in its original chipboard case.

It also came in with an higher than desirable action, so the neck was reset, with the neck angle adjusted, shimmed tight and glued back together.  Right now, the action sits at a comfortable 5/64ths of an inch.

These are great little ukuleles, made with high quality tone woods. The Harmony Baritone features a solid Honduran Mahogany Top, Back, Sides and Neck, with a Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard and Bridge.  As mentioned above, this use is in Near Mint condition, with no splits, cracks, open seams and only a minor scuff or two tot he finish.  She’s tight as a tick.

The tuners on these old Harmony uses are friction tuners, not entirely unlike violin pegs.  From time to time, they work their way loose and you’ll find that the strings will slip out of tune.  When they do, all you need to do is tighten the straight head screws on the end of the tuning keys (see them in the photos), and you are back in business.

If you haven’t played a Baritone Uke before, what you are sure to love is that they are tuned like the top four strings of a guitar (D-G-B-E), so all of your guitar chords work the same way across the Uke Fretboard.  That makes for a great little instrument with a different sound and vibe, that will drop some extra flavor into your playing or recording.  It is also a perfectly sized travel companion for airline overhead compartments or strapping to a backpack!

This Harmony Baritone Ukulele is sold AS IS and is not returnable unless it arrives in a condition other than as described or photographed, here.
