Wheatstone TV-600 Mixer 1992 **Chattanooga TN** UPDATE #2

**New Info** I spoke to an expert on these mixers, here is his response to my email:

"What you have there is a 24 channel with 8 mono groups.

As for the power cord, the two bottom rack units are both the power supplies. They plug in with standard IEC power cables and the last picture you sent is the cable that goes from the power supply to the console. The rest of the stuff in the rack is for the computer. I don't know anything about that. I never had one in my board.

This is an excellent board for serious project studios. ALL ANALOG! They made these in 38, 44, and 55 slot versions, this is a 55 slot version. -Balanced mic preamps -Balanced line inputs -Balance inserts on each channel, group, and master outs. -Balanced aud sends -Balanced outputs There are 8 group sends and 8 aux sends (4 x stereo pan pot).

Console measures: 85" Wide X 44". Board is based on NE5532 op-amps just like SSL. It has been described as a stripped-down SSL by techs. Sounds like a full, clean SSL input, without as much routing capability. The EQ op amps are TL072, which can easily be switched out since the board has sockets. The console is modular. Modules can relocated into almost any slot. Each module has a D-Sub to connect to your patchbay.

Unfortunately I don't know much about the mixer. I'm going to be doing a lot of research and then updating this post as I get info. I just purchased it via auction and was told it was in working condition when last used (I don't know how long ago that was). Located in Chattanooga TN.
