Instruo Instruo 1U USB expander in siliver panel 2020 - Present - Siliver

This is extension USB adapter "module" for Instruo Arbhar and Lúbadh.

The idea is just simply extending the USB connection to a 1U panel.

The flat USB ribbon cable is 25cm long, should be enough for an Intellijel case even if your are racking it on the lower row.

The current design is using a flat USB male connecter to plug in the USB input on the Eurorack module (check the above pictures), It works perfectly fine but requires a gentle force to remove it from the module when you need it to be removed. The reason of using this flat connecter is that I was trying make sure the connecter do not take up space at the back of the module in case the case is really shallow.

Feature:

-Instant USB access at the front panel

-1U 4hp width, so it will not take up the 3U rack space

-Silver faceplate, if you are more into the silver colour scheme of your 1U row, this is for you

-No extra power is need, it is of course passive !

Recommanded Installation Procedure:

1. Rack the 1U Module to your desired position

2.Try to clear the modules that is vertical between your Arbhar or Lúbadh

3. Gently connect the USB flat connecter into your Arbhar or Lúbadh

4. Place it on on rack and turn the power on to check does the module read the USB drive properly

Things to keep in mind

-This is not a Instruo release, it is just a DIY project I do for my own need

-I have tested it on an Arbhar, but not on a Lubadh. But as long as it is just a USB connection, it should be fine

-If you have a lid for your case, make sure you have enough space before closing it up, otherwise it will demage the USB joint.

The module is made-to-order, I currently only have one unused and available, please allow time for me to build.
