                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       You are looking at a unique, quality 1980's era Electro Voice model PL95 model dynamic cardioid microphone based on the earlier and more common DS35 model mic that comes with an Audix brand mic clip and cable in which to operate. This rugged classic microphone was made by E.V in the U.S.A for almost 10 years before being discontinued and was used for several applications.

Pic # 2 is from an old E.V advertisement showing this very model as well as a few others and the mics basic specs and technical characteristics.

 I have been told by several singers who have used both the RE16 and DS35 that they actually prefer the sound of the DS35 better. I believe the DS35 has a flatter response than the RE16. This is a great mic for toms / drums as well.

 Again, this is the PL95. It's exactly the same as the DS35. E.V decided to rebrand the mic sometime in the late 80's or early 90's. The "PL" stood for Professional Line. This PL model also came with the more ominous dark olive drab paint scheme reducing unwanted light glare.

 The E.V PL95 is a light weight microphone set at 150 OHMS (Low impedance) and it has a smooth, warm tone that's excellent for broadcasting as well. This was basically an RE-16 model mic without the bass adjustment lever and a flatter response.

 It's also uni-directional picking up only your voice directly in front of the screen and cancelling out unwanted background noise. The PL95 is one of the better uni-directional mics I have personally heard.

 
 The painted metal mesh screen is very nice with zero dents, odors or tarnish. Just a few small spots of paint wear. The painted body shows lite wear as well. Zero dents or fractures. A few tiny scuff marks and scratches. The E.V label looks very good and completely legible. This mic was pretty well taken care of over the decades.

 It should be noted that this mic has the new upper and lower foam inner liners. These inner foam screens greatly help with the acoustics of the mic as well as keeping the lower screen steady. The foam is in great shape and will last for several decades to come. The foam / pop filter cuts down any unwanted feedback due to wind or breathing. If you buy any used PL95 you'll have to replace them as they are always in terrible shape. I do all this for you so you have peace of mind that your mic is 100% up to par.

 The mic measures 7 1/2 inches long and 1 3/4 wide at the screen. 

I'd give the mic a solid 7 physically on a scale of 1 - 10. The real beauty is that sound it produces.                                                                                                                                                              The black Audix model mic clip is also included and it fits the mic firmly allowing for a wide range of tilt up and down. The clip will screw on to any microphone desk or floor stand. The clip has the adjustable tension via side screw. The clip is in very nice physical condition as well. No issues.
 The longer cable is provided as well. it's appx 17 feet long and in excellent condition. Soft, pliable and comes with the standard male 1/4 inch end connector for use with most audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers.    If you demand an excellent working PL95 to use frequently...this is your mic.   MICROPHONE STAND IS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY...NOT PART OF THIS SALE.
