This one has all the Maximum R&B Vibe & Mojo a person could want.

I’ve included several pics of it as a complete guitar so you can get a sense of how it looks as a complete guitar, but this add is just for the body and neck, with no parts.

This is real, authentic wear, not razor blades and hammers, that you only get from playing the cowboy bars five nights a week. This has classic vintage Gibson coloring, checking and wear.

This is a project. It’s a great candidate for Humbuckers, or to keep as is for mini-humbuckers, or P-90’s.

This was the victim of some old 1970’s poor quality repair work. I bought this one from the original owner, who came from a rural location, and from a time when quality guitar repair work was scarce.

The fretboard on this has been planned: the 12” radius is basically gone. It’s large flat frets have been filed very low, and have been glued in with epoxy.  To fix this and get it playing to spec, it needs to have the fretboard replaced. Using larger frets will not work on this one.

If you are a DYI luthier, this could be a good restoration project. Below are the details

This model is one of the early ones from when Gibson first made the transition to the “Made in USA” stamp on the headstock, with the “goof rings” and “pancake” body and neck volute. The volume pots were dated 13704x making this a 1970 or early 1971 model.

Fully loaded with all parts, this weighed 9 lbs 12 oz with stop tail and ABR-1.   10lbs 6 oz with Bigsby. As a complete guitar with the Bisby, this was well balanced and did not feel overly heavy. Just the body and neck weigh 8.0 lbs

 Serial # 952900

 Nut is 1.6990

Neck Measurements:

1st fret .80

7th fret .897

12th fret .958

The case shown is not original to the guitar, but it is a 1970’s Gibson era case.
