Made locally in the Bitterroot Valley, by Bill LaCroix. Modeled after Dave Hyatt’s bottle Gourd flat back Banjo that Adam Hurt played. This gourd cut on top and back sides. The top sections were cut and vintage calf skin (or maybe Goat), were then stretched and tacked into place. The back of the larger portion of the bottle gourd was cut for a dyed piece of Doug Fir. Tuners are Ebony violin pegs. Nyl-Gut strings. Cherry dowel thru the end of the gourd. Larch Bridge capped with Mountain Mahogany. Comes with white Brain-Tanned Elk Strap. Very good sound, very good playability. Optional gig bag ($87.98)
