Audio Research VSi60 tube Integrated Amplifier.

This is a pretty special unit! I acquired this some years ago from an EX-ARC employee who got this from an ARC engineer. If you are looking for a perfect cosmetic unit. this is not for you. If you are more concerned with function over cosmetics. read on!

I am told this was an engineering proof of concept unit built from B-stock chassis parts as a way to test fit and function of the new VSi60 parts. if you look closely you will see many anomalies and imperfections. the biggest is on the right side, they used the chassis for testing punched serial numbers! so there are a bunch of numbers punched into the side of it. also please note that the black front sticker says VSi55, but the chassis is silk screened VSi60 and it is definitely a VSi60 board and top panel. but, even the top panel is a prototype as the production units didn't have the center screw holes front and back like this one has! I have a silver VSi60 front sticker. but, I liked the look of the black sticker better so i left it. the remote has been misplaced, But we are trying to locate it. even it was different!

SO! this is a pretty special one of a kind unit with a bit of ARC history to it. it works perfectly and sounds aaaaamazing! As it is so unusual it is hard to put a price on it. I have priced it well below what a VSi60 would normally sell for just due to the cosmetic imperfections and the oddness of it. From the front it looks fantastic and you don't notice anything about it until you get up close and start really looking at it. I would be happy to send more photos of anything you like.

The tubes have been tested and are in good shape. there is an extra set of KT-120 tubes that are available for additional $$
