This is the only Johnny A I've seen in black... but not just any black, a AAAA quilted maple top. This guitar is the ultimate in decadence but also practicality. Fully hollow, thinline, bigsby, ebony board - tons of custom appointments including inlay. Imagine a Barney Kessel mated with a 339 sized body along with all the deluxe appointments. The neck is on the thinner, flatter size and she plays like butter. Pair of 57 classics. The guitar was used and has some scratching, dents, and dings (which I show in the photos) but absolutely nothing wrong structurally or electronically. This guitar was used in a smokey environment and the case does have a smoky smell and the guitar a very light one. The case is the best Gibson ever made, almost matching the quilt top with a crushed green velvet interior and gator skin exterior. The handle of the case was broken when I got it and I had a leather one fabricated for it. It's the best looking, nicest guitar I own, but the neck just isn't the right shape for me. You will never see another one.
