This little guy is Chucky. Let me tell you about Chucky. So, a friend of Hunter Amplifiers sent in a deceased late-model Fender Super Champ X2 with the request of having a "real" tube amp built inside the amp's tight quarters. Some sorcery happened, and the resulting amp was a 5-watt powerhouse based on the 1960's Fender "black panel" AA764 Vibro-Champ, with an added footswitchable pair of cascaded gain stages for overdrive borrowed from a Dumble ODS, all crammed inside a stock Fender Super Champ X2 box. The amp, dubbed 'Chucky', sounded so ridiculously good when we tested it that we knew it had to be reproduced for others to enjoy. It effortlessly nails the classic clean and lightly overdriven sounds one would expect from a BFVC, but with added range from the footswitchable gain to give it a whole new dimension. The circuit was rearranged to fit in a compact head box instead of a donor X2. So, here it is, the first custom Chucky head to roll off the assembly line! This first-ever Chucky Head is wrapped in dark green Tolex with a brown bottom panel and funky purple control panel. A power cable and a 2-button footswitch for Boost/Tremolo control are included. Don't miss out on a chance to own the first Chucky!!! I'm sure there will be more...it's too good of an amp to not do more! Hunter Amplifiers are all handmade by one person in Keno, Kentucky, USA. No kits, no excuses! It's an original, and all your guitar buddies are going to be jealous!
