Holy grail alert here!!! Up for grabs is this absolutely stunning 1959 Fender Jazzmaster! This Jazzy is in incredible shape for its age. No major breaks, cracks or repairs. The finish has some checking as you'd expect, buckle rash and some minor dings in the finish. Wouldn't we all at the age of 66?! The finish is a really beautiful Sunburst that has a rich chocolate look in the sun.
The pickups are incredible and are very healthy! The neck pickup comes in at 8.30Ω and the bridge clocks in at 8.55Ω. The middle position clocks in at 4.26Ω. All positions are very musical with the neck being very warm and rich. The bridge is bright and fully of character. All of the electronics look to be the original with the pot codes dating to 1959.
The neck is a meaty C neck (not a bat) and is one of the most flamed out beauties I've seen on a vintage Fender. Lots of lovely Birds Eye swirls that looks absolutely stunning. The jazzy has had a professional refret by master luthier Gary Brawer with jumbo frets and a new nut about ten years ago. The frets are in great shape and fully playable up and down the neck.
The guitar weighs 8.59lbs. The Jazzy will include the original bridge cover and a 60's non-branded Fender case that is missing the case pocket. Freshly setup to shop spec with a set of NYXL 11/49 with the original bridge.
