Offering a vintage and rare working 1960's HERALD M-23A Dynamic Microphone. This is identical to the "pill microphones" released under a multitude of names like Calrad, Aiwa, Argonne, Kent, Realistic, AMD, etc. The Japanese were on top of their game with this model which has continued its popularity over the decades because of its physical resemblance to the iconic RCA 77, but on a smaller scale.
These mics were originally outfitted with very tinny sounding crystal elements, which were also known to fail. We removed the crystals and installed a broadcast-quality dynamic capsule proving a strong, full-fidelity profile. (Voice sample available upon request.) The casing is in near-to-perfect overall condition, from the top chromed perforated screens, clean inner screen cloth, through to the lower casing, and includes the original Herald retail box. The mic is hardwired to a short XLR pigtail cable, and also includes the desk stand shown. ** Fast fair shipping, and save with combined shipping on multiple purchases. *

** With a life-long career in major market broadcast radio in the imaging/audio production field, I continue to buy, sell, collect and restore vintage microphones, primarily from the 1930's through the 1970's. Have a vintage mic to sell, made a purchase and need follow-up, or just have a general question, we're here to help.
