Fender Custom Shop '59 Jazzmaster Wildwood "10" Relic Ready 2020 - Shell Pink

Here we have a very cool Fender Custom Shop Wildwood "10" Relic Ready '59 Jazzmaster! This Dealer Select model has been upgraded with a Mastery bridge and tailpiece, as well as mixed hardware.

Specs include an alder body, AA flame maple neck, 10" radius, 6105 fret wire and bone nut. It has a set of Custom Shop Jazzmaster pickups and a tortoise guard. The traveler calls for nickel hardware, but this one has been retrofitted with mixed gold parts. The neck plate is original, but the neck is mounted with gold screws. The tuners are the correct style, but swapped to gold units mounted with silver screws, retaining the original silver grommets on the face of the headstock. The pickguard, pickup mounting screws and jack nut are gold. The gold strap buttons and gold tailpiece are mounted with silver screws.

The Relic Ready finish is a thin skin lacquer that leaves the factory buffed out to a NOS shine without dings or checking. The guitars are intended to wear easily, or be ready for you to relic yourself as the name suggests. This particular guitar exhibits light natural checking on the body already. There are light scratches, topical marks and a few minor dings on the body as well. The neck has a few light finish chips at the edges of the fingerboard too. The pickguard came aged from the factory per the floor traveler.

This one weighs 7lbs 14oz. The neck measures .860 to .980 at the 1st and 12th. It has a full, rounded C profile, approaching 50s vintage size. It's quite comfortable and not too big at all. The guitar sets up very well and the Mastery parts function great. It plays easily with a woody mid-range and crisp top end. It has a bit of a cavernous sound off of the body with a touch of natural reverb. One of the coolest Jazzmaster we've had.

Ships in the original case which has a Wildwood Dealer Select badge and includes the COA, floor traveler, tremolo arm, picks and other paperwork. There are no original parts included.
