Washburn Prototype #1 - Idol - Spalted Maple Natural 2012
This guitar is Wonderful! Washburn Collectors take note!
It feels and plays better than my Les Pauls!
This guitar is a PROTO-TYPE marked #1 by Eric McKenna, the owner of Boogie Street Guitars. As the COA states, he worked with Washburn to bring back "The return of the idol". It was the Spalted Maple. There is only 1 Proto-type and this one is it!
These guitars were produced as a result of his efforts. Eric's autograph is on the back of the headstock as well.
So, THIS guitar is absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. There is not a single blemish or flaw and the finish is a mirror finish Black that reflects everything; (see some of the pics). It's hard to photograph due to the reflections. The pickups and the selector switch cover each still have the plastic protector film on them.
It included the factory Guitar strap, the metal hanger, and the original COA as pictured.
