This is a full size violin. Inside label reads "Jacobus Stainer Made in Germany". Back measures 14 1/16".
- This violin has had the following repairs:
- The top was removed in December of 2023 and the top was graduated (thinned out) to specifications. These Stainers are known to be fairly thick tops so this was an essential repair to help the tone of the instrument.
- New bass bar.
- New end block.
- New fingerboard.
- Has had peg bushings recently but prior to 2023.
- New gold ring pearl eye ebony pegs with matching parts as well as a new sound post, bridge, and Dominant brand strings.
This violin has a nice tone and is in good playing condition. Listing includes a used hard shell case, new horsehair fiberglass bow, and rosin. There is also a spare bridge include but needs grooves cut for strings to be finished.
