The Pigtronix Space Rip PWM synth takes in your guitar’s signal and spits out stacks of pulse-width-modulated sawtooth and square waves in multiple octaves. The result? Snarling, searing synth tones. An onboard voltage-controlled oscillator keeps the pulse width of the waveforms in a constant state of flux to generate shifting timbral textures that sound akin to ending the fabric of space-time in two. Pigtronix equipped the Space Rip with a cutting-edge tracking engine that can keep up with hyper-speed lead lines, accurately reproducing both pitch and dynamics. Guitarists are especially infatuated with the Space Rip’s Sub control, which lets you dial in absolutely crushing analog synth low end — so much so that your bass player might get a little jealous!
