Circa 1930 X braced Regal "Marveltone" model. 00 sized and X braced by Regal in its Chicago factory in the style of period Martin guitars. We believe these Regal Marveltones are an excellent alternative to period Martin 00-18s and they tend to have wonderful tone with build quality much high than Regal's lower end models of the day. Extremely light weight and extremely well balanced. Solid spruce top with solid mahogany back/sides. Guitar has the usual scuffs, dings and scratches of a guitar its age that has been enjoyed. Three repaired back cracks (cleated). No top/side cracks. Mahogany neck is a deep "C" profile with the slightest hint of "V". Rosewood heelcap and headstock veneer.. MOP Marveltone logo. Replacement ebony bridge and compensated bone saddle. Replacement tuners. Passive pickup installed by a prior owner. Comes with non-original HSC.
