Retrofret Stock # 6666. Vox Phantom VI Model Solid Body Electric Guitar, c. 2000, made in USA, serial # 00215340, blue lacquer finish, hardwood body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, original black rigid foam case. This very fine re-issue of the classic 1960's Vox Phantom is one of a very limited line marketed between 1997 and 2001 by Korg (owner of the Vox marque) and North Coast music of Minneapolis in the US. These were custom tooled to a high degree of fidelity to the originals, the main differences being a 5-way pickup selector, Bigsby vibrato and heavier Gotoh bridge. This one is a particularly attractive Sonic blue finish, the rarest of the original '60's Vox UK colors. A neat guitar, part of a very limited run and very rare especially in this color.Overall length is 40 3/4 in. (103.5 cm.), 10 1/2 in. (26.7 cm.) across at the widest point, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Hardly played, basically one small chip on the bottom edge and a bit of scraping to the pickguard under the bridge adjustment wheels away from unused near mint condition. Really an excellent playing and sounding guitar that retains a lot of the character of the UK-made '60's original. Includes a Vox-branded hadr fabric case. Excellent + Condition.
