You are are not seriously listening to the video clip through those tiny speakers in your computer, laptop, tablet, or cell phone, are you?
If you are serious about looking for pedals with good tone, I just can not stress this enough...USE YOUR HEADPHONES!
About the Mod: We start by replacing some of those cheap capacitors and resistors with high quality Panasonic caps and metal film resistors. Some of these components are a different value now.
These changes help eliminate noise and hiss, bring up the bass a bit, and give it more body.
We change the clipping diode over to germanium to help make the pedal a little smoother. And yes, we replace the old LED. This one is clear when off, and a very noticeable blue when on. Did you know? It is good to have a bright LED on a dim lit stage. But it is even more important to have a bright LED for outside gigs. Simply purchase the mod service, and then here is a 3 point check list: 1) We will be performing our mod service on your Boss GEB-7. 2) Please include your return address, and any special information about your mod, on a piece of paper inside the package you will be sending us. 3) Just before sending, please recheck steps 1 and 2.
