This Greco EG 500 is an awesome Goldie and a rare bird indeed. A fine build from the Fujigen factory ca. 1974, this Les Paul style Gold Top plays and sounds great. The Maxon mini humbuckers with matching Greco covers are the main attraction and deliver outstanding tone. But this gold sparkle finish is the star of the show.
Cosmetically the guitar is in good condition. Nicks, dings, scratches, scuffs and patina aplenty. The lower bout took a punch at some point but it is skin deep and doesn’t affect tone or playability. A very handsome Gold Top that has been well-loved with the battle scars to prove it. Included is a soft case.
Local pick up from PTD Vintage in Chicago’s Wicker Park location available and encouraged. shipping is a flat $115 in the lower 48.
