About This Listing

For sale a wonderful 7 string "baritone-hybrid", left-handed Loef guitar, made in 2017, in mint condition. Olaf Loef is a high end custom guitar builder from Finland and I have to say his work is remarkable. It is much more an European dreadnought, with unbelievably low action, very articulated and clear voice with deep low-end and a bit of the typical "Celtic" tone you get from high-end guitars like Lowden, McIlroy, Avalon... It is all solid guitar, of course.

The 0-fret allows you to tune it as a "normal" guitar in E, with 7th low C or B, or to have B to B baritone with high E. The longer scale (27 inch) also allows you to tune it half step of full step down - D to D (tuning the 7th to low Bb, which in this case will provide additional sympathetic resonance). Open D tuning also works wonderfully.

You can find in youtube several demos for Loef guitars (just type "loef guitars"), and more information on his website (loefguitars.fi).
