Rare Orpheum no. 1 five string banjo made by Rettburg and Lange. Beautiful birds eye maple veneer on pot and lightly flamed maple neck. ABM small shaft tuners. Renaissance head. repro no-knot tailpiece. Strung with labella 17’s. The dyed wood fingerboard has a few light finish cracks.all original inlays are intact. This banjo is a monster for clawhammer. I’ve previously strung with LIGHT gauge steel and it sounds great. My current main player is an orpheum no. 3. I asked myself; “do I really need two orpheums?” Maybe. i figured someone could put this one to good use. no case, but will be expertly packed!
