This is my lightly used cello, which I've had expertly upgraded by my luthier to achieve the best possible sound and playing comfort. The primary adjustment was a precise re-planing of the fingerboard. Additionally, the Forte 3D bridge was replaced with a high-quality German bridge, the sound post was carefully adjusted, and the entire setup was meticulously refined.
It is currently set up with Tungsten Spirocore C and G strings and Larsen Soloist D and A strings. I’m also including a full additional set of strings that originally came with the cello. The soft case that came with it (pictured) is also included.
This cello also comes with a wolf eliminator of the perfect weight and placed in the perfect spot, based on a lot of trial and error. The Krenz Modulator does not work well with this cello
A brand-new Realist pickup (pictured on the cello) is installed and is optionally available for purchase for an additional $240. Again, the pickup is not included in the listing price and will not be shipped with the cello unless purchased separately.
This cello has an incredible sound and is a joy to play. The only reason I’m selling it is to help cover the purchase of a more expensive instrument. You’re welcome to come try it out before making a decision!
From Forte 3D:
Hailed as "the best sounding carbon fiber cello", Forte3D uses an entirely new design and manufacturing process that allows vibrations to travel more freely through the instrument, capturing the warm tones of wood while reaping the benefits of carbon fiber, eliminating the harsh or brittle characteristics historically associated with other carbon fiber cellos.
