**HOLD**Most folks expect a 62 ES-335 to be a block neck and most of them are but Gibson didn't make the change from dots to blocks at the beginning of 62, they did it in the Spring of 62. So, there are a fair numberof 62 dot necks out there but they sure don't come up for sale very often. This is only the third or fourth one I've had in twenty years. Pickups are sealed PAFs. Many 62's (and some 63 and 64's) were equipped with a wrap tailpiece although strung as a normal stop tail. That's because Gibson had a ton of wraptails and wanted to use them up. They had them because they started using the "lightning" tailpiece on their non ABR-1 guitars. I don't like the string ends sticking out the back of the tailpiece and I don't like wrapping the strings over on a 335 (the break angle is too shallow) so I put a high end repro stop tail on this guitar and left the original short seam wraptail in the case. All other hardware and plastic is original with the exception of three tuner buttons. The neck profile is wide/slim (.81" and .91") but not a blade like a 61. Pickups read 8.99K at the bridge (!) and 7.70K at the neck. Condition is between 8.5 and 9/10. It has some fade but almost no checking. No rash but a few dings. One of the pickup mounting screws appears to have gotten stripped and someone removed a small amount of wood to get it out. It doesn't show unless the pickup is removed. See the last photo. Frets appear original and are good (maybe 70%). Case is original Lifton badged black with yellow. It's an excellent player with no major issues. It's voicing leans toward the blues player but will rock with the best of them especially on the bridge pickup.
