For sale is a rare and unique Moennig Brothers Artist Special Bassoon, serial number 9619, crafted in the mid-to-late 1940s during the post-WWII era in Germany.

The Moennig family ran their operations in the town of Markneukirchen, which fell within the Soviet Occupation Zone during this time. Instruments produced during this period bear the "Soviet Zone" marking, indicating their manufacture before the formation of East Germany.

This instrument bears historical engravings, including "Soviet Zone" and "Soviet Occupied", marking its origin during a significant period.

Professional Restoration: Recently underwent $950 worth of professional servicing, including:

• Complete re-padding
• Replacement of necessary corks
• Fabrication and installation of a whisper key lock
