Top of the line bass amp for Hilgen starting in 1965. This was my first amp way back in 7th grade for bass, and sold it when I started playing guitar. I was nostalgic for the amp and found one in 2022 and brought it to my amp tech to be serviced, and it was finished in 1/31/23:

·      Restore amp to stock (including power switch configuration)

·      Power cord

·      Reduce noise floor best as possible

·      Service, including filter caps

·      Checked Sylvania 7591A Power tubes and they tested OK.

·      Confirmed the output transformer is for 8 ohms.

Chassis Stamp B2569 – either 64/65.

This amp is a lot of fun for guitar. 7591 power tubes output is between a 6V6 and 6L6, but with more gain on tap. It sounds angry and easy to overdrive even without pedals.

I prefer local pickup, but if your heart is set on this I will package it up in an amp box, but shipping is expensive. I'll drive 50 miles from LAX airport here in Los Angeles for local pickup.

Thanks for looking!
