Here is what is considered to be the “Classic Pro” Alto Saxophone from Buescher, the original Aristocrat, called the New Aristocrat, in Very Good Aesthetic condition and Excellent playing condition.  This example was made in 1933 and comes to you in its original hard case, plenty beat up but perfectly serviceable.

The New Aristocrat features a bore closely resembling that of an Adolph Sax instrument and is the horn that introduced the Norton Screw in SpringsThis is a professional quality horn from the beginnings of the jazz age.

This Buescher New Aristocrat was professionally serviced in Early February, 2025, with the action adjusted, keys straightened, any leaks corrected and the springs adjusted.  The pads were found to be in good condition and none were in need of replacement.

The Body of the horn is in very good condition, with no dents, a couple of minor dings, clean engraving and about 80% of its original lacquer.  As noted above the pads are in good shape.  The keywork is Excellent, the neck and cork are each in very good condition.

There is a key on the back side of the main stack, just above the bow, that I have labeled the “Appendix key.”  My sax technician and a couple of professionals saxophonists I know referred to it as such, because like our own appendix, it has no function.  Apparently it was something originally designed into the horn which proved to be unnecessary and was abandoned by Buescher.  There is no lever to operate it and it does stay shut on its own, but my tech added a cork to ensure that it stays closed.  You can remove it should you desire.

In addition to the horn and its original hard case, there is also a Martin Mouthpiece (appears to be much more recent), ligature, cap, a couple of lanyards, a music lyre, and a cleaning tool.

Please be sure to study the photographs carefully, as I have tried to capture this horn from all angles.

This Buescher New Aristocrat is sold, “AS IS” and is not returnable unless it arrives in a condition other than as described or photographed, here.
