His ground breaking work with Tower of Power and his long list of instructional books and videos, have established him as one of the most influential drummers of our time.

This Prototype Nouveau Lug Yamaha 3.5x10” is an extremely rare drum and marks a very significant spot in David's evolution with YAMAHA DRUMS.

David's initial idea was to make a smaller 10" side snare version of his extremely popular DG-435 14x3.5" Signature Model snare drum. This initial prototype didn't sound like he'd hoped and eventually the project was shelved. This is the only one of these drums ever made. Serial #0000! Since this was a prototype drum, Yamaha used the same badge and DG435 model # that they used on his 14x3.5" version, since the drum had not been given a model # of it's own at the time it was made.

Made in Japan. "First Run", 10" x 3.5" Brass shell. 3.0 mm MIJ Yamaha Zinc diecast hoops. Nouveau lugs. Original Yamaha snare wires. Blue Nickel Alloy Finish. 45 degree bearing Edges. YESS mount. Comes in its original box. There are still remnants of the original shipping label addressed to David Garibaldi.

The drum shows minor signs of use but remains in excellent+ condition.
