Ideal for any hard rock or metal guitarist, or anyone that appreciates its sleek and sinister looks, the Epiphone SG Goth G-400 is a highly capable, eye catching and versatile rock and roll machine.

The all mahogany and durable matte black finish set this guitar visually apart. The plain, dark rosewood fretboard and blacked out hardware do well to accentuate the gothic nature of this guitar, with only minimal white dot inlays on the side to indicate fret number. They are easy to see though, and one does not find themselves lost while playing up the neck on this instrument.

Two big alnico V humbuckers round out the rock and roll cred on this guitar. At 8.82k ohms in the neck and a hefty 13.94k ohms in the bridge, the volume between the front and rear pickups are nearly equal. The lower output neck pickup aids in giving the neck a slightly cleaner, more bluesy tone.

SGs are renowned for their easy access right up and down the fretboard. Lead work is aided on this guitar by having a nice wide and shallow neck profile. This guitar is a very capable lead instrument.

There is only very light signs of use on this guitar and nearly no scratches or damage to the instrument. There is light tarnish on some body screws and light wear of the black finish on top of the bridge saddles, but this is negligible.

This guitar comes set up with fast, low action, a fresh set of 10-46 gauge strings, a strap, a spare guitar lead and a high quality, very durable SKB hard case.

All in all, a very sleek and capable rock axe.
