David Garibaldi's Tower of Power, Sabian 17" HHX X-Treme Crash 1106g
David Garibaldi has retired from Tower of Power! David's innovative grooves propelled the band and helped define their unique funky sound. After an amazing 55 year run, he's putting away his Tower of Power sticks.
His ground breaking work with Tower of Power and his long list of instructional books and videos, have established him as one of the most influential drummers of our time.
Sabain HHX have been David's go to crash cymbals ever since they were first introduced. The HHX line is what convinced David to start playing Sabian cymbals. That was in the mid 1990s and the rest is musical history.
This Sabian 17" HHX X-Treme Crash was one of David's earliest HHXs. We can tell by the very small printing. The cymbal is well used but lovingly cared for. It remains in excellent condition with no issues. Just some of David Garibaldi's fingerprints! It sounds beautiful. Complex, dark and with a bit of trashiness.
