About this listing
The Ernie Ball Music Man St. Vincent Goldie in Velveteen is a distinctive electric guitar designed around an expressive, modern aesthetic and a highly refined playing experience. Its sculpted Okoume body measures 12-9/16" wide, 1-5/8" thick, and 39-9/16" long, finished in a high gloss polyester Velveteen color that gives the instrument an unmistakable presence. A parchment pickguard complements the finish, while the custom chrome plated Music Man St. Vincent Modern tremolo features solid brass saddles. The 25-1/2" scale length and carefully contoured body make this an instrument equally at home on stage or in the studio.
The figured roasted maple neck is finished with Music Man's gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend, providing a smooth, natural feel beneath the hand. Its rosewood fingerboard carries custom St. Vincent inlays, with 22 high-profile, medium-width stainless steel frets and a 10" radius. The neck measures 1-5/8" at the nut and 2-1/4" at the highest fret, while the reversed headstock measures just 5-7/8" in length. Schaller M6-IND locking tuners with pearl buttons provide precise tuning stability, and the five-bolt neck attachment with a sculpted neck joint offers excellent alignment and comfortable access to the higher frets. The adjustable truss rod can be accessed without removing components or strings.
At the heart of the Goldie is an HHH pickup configuration featuring three Music Man custom mini-humbucking pickups with chrome covers and gold foil. A five-way lever pickup selector provides a range of tonal combinations, while 250kohm volume and tone controls with a .047µF tone capacitor offer straightforward control over the instrument's character. The body cavity is shielded with graphite acrylic resin and paired with an aluminum control cover for added attention to electronic performance. The guitar is strung with 10p-13p-17p-26-36-46 RPS 10 Slinkys #2240, completing a setup designed for both articulate rhythm work and expressive lead playing.
Weighing 7 lbs 2 oz, this left-hand-free, right-handed St. Vincent Goldie combines striking visual design with carefully considered Music Man craftsmanship. From its Velveteen Okoume body and figured roasted maple neck to its rosewood fingerboard, stainless steel frets, locking Schaller tuners, custom tremolo, and trio of mini-humbuckers, every element contributes to its distinctive identity. The guitar includes its hardshell case, making this Goldie a compelling combination of sculptural design, versatile electronics, and refined playability.
